Supply Source was formed in December of 1999 as a Greenfield ‘start-up’, when four key sales executives and managers from Western Paper joined together to begin this endeavor.

Supply Source was originally formed to service the industrial packaging, building maintenance and shipping supplies needs of the manufacturing segment. Supply Source experienced rapid growth as a result of its relationship with a major electronics company. Supply Source was one of the top 50 Oregon companies with the greatest growth for the years 2003 – 2005.

The company’s customer base then grew and expanded internationally to include customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Korea, the UK, and Mexico. As a result of these customer relationships, Supply Source formed a company in China to support this business and is registered in China as Supply Source International (SSI).

SSI now has three locations in China: corporate office/warehouse in Shanghai and sales offices and warehouses in Shenzhen and Chongqing. During this growth period, Supply Source developed a strong alliance and partnership with a packaging distribution and box converting company in Scotland, Pitreavie Group, which now represents Supply Source in Europe.
